In my own words about travel:

"In 2009 I discovered world travel.  I truly will never forget stepping off the plane in Shannon, Ireland and thinking, 'It's now all up to me.'

I was right.

For two weeks I traveled through Ireland, Scotland, England, France and Spain having the most incredible experiences I had ever had up to that point in my life.  I was free.  I met people.  I enjoyed them.  I enjoyed myself.

That trip will likely always be one of the most transformational experiences of my life.  I got hooked on travel.  More than that, and I didn't know it at the time, I was hooked on a new way of being.....being seen, being known, being me.

Thankfully I listened to the advice of my friend John and kept a blog of my travels.  I have maintained the blog for many other trips across the US and across the world, and within the last few years it has become a place for me to write publicly about the things I learn about myself, others, the world and the beliefs I've formed and the beliefs I am working to change."
